Update - We've released an update for Steam syncs where the majority of impacted accounts will once again sync without errors.

That being said, we've identified a change from Steam where you may run into trouble when attempting to link a new Steam account or when re-connecting an existing account. The good news is daily, automatic syncs will continue to run as expected.

Update - Over the last couple of weeks, we've been monitoring some unannounced changes from Amazon, which now look to be permanent. Those changes resulted in some unstable syncs, as we've detailed here from the start.

Based on all of this, we're redesigning our integration which will bring stability to these daily syncs once again. We'll be looking to roll out these changes in the near future and will share that update as everything is live.

Update - We are starting to resume estimates generation. Download estimates for the App Store will start updating within the next few days with Google Play and revenue to follow.

As part of this update, download estimates from December, which were not generated due to higher-than-expected variance will also be updated.

Update - We're continuing our calibration process. Download estimates for Google Play and revenue estimates for both the App Store and Google Play are still being generated. Download estimates for the App Store are still being investigated.

Identified - To keep our download and revenue estimates accurate we'll begin calibrating our models for the new year within the next couple of weeks.

We expect to pause estimate generation for a few weeks towards the end of January/Early February as we make the necessary changes.

The recalibration will also impact the Mobile Download Index and Mobile Revenue Index. As such, we've paused both as of the end of December to prevent inaccuracies. Both will resume as soon as the recalibration is completed and be available starting January 1st.

P.S. - We are currently investigating higher-than-expected variance in download during the last week of December for apps on the App Store and have paused estimates generation until we can ensure estimates hit our accuracy rate.

Update - An update on Google's ratings breakdown by country:

While we'd expect all of Google's ratings numbers to be on a country level that is not the case. The total number of ratings is still for all countries while the average and the star-breakdown are country-specific.

Why that's an issue:

This split means that there’s no way to see how many ratings are in each country, or to show the star-breakdown by country or globally reliably within our existing ratings report because it’s based on absolute counts.

Right now, the only reliable number in the ratings report is the total number of ratings.

What happens now:

We are actively working to enhance our ratings aggregation tools to handle this new way of reporting ratings. That will allow us to bring back reporting on star-breakdown as well as report on the average rating by country.

This is a change that Google didn’t describe before rolling it out which is impacting everyone in our industry at the moment.

Identified - Earlier this year Google announced that in November 2021 they would be adding a country breakdown to ratings as Google ratings were always reported under one, global rating.

From what we have observed over the last couple of days, Google has begun to slowly roll out the changes for some apps. Based on these changes, some developers may see an unusual shift to their ratings starting November 18th and on.

One important note is that these changes are currently impacting the star counts, only. As it stands, the total star count remains the same across countries.

We'll continue to monitor any and all changes from Google's ratings and provide updates as they are detected.

Resolved - Microsoft has released reports for Windows revenue up to and including the 14th. Those reports have been automatically imported for all accounts.

Identified - Windows revenue for all of January, is not yet available from Microsoft as the payout reports have not yet been generated for the month. We'll monitor from our end and as soon as those are created we'll automatically import for all accounts.
